For privacy questions, contact us at info@carreggamuglamping.com or by phone on 07857 550632.

Information we collect

We may collect personal information when you contact us, make an enquiry, ask about availability, join any future mailing list, or make a booking directly or through a booking platform.

This may include your name, email address, phone number, booking dates, stay type, party details, accessibility or practical requirements you choose to share, payment or transaction references, messages you send to us, and records of our replies.

Our website may also receive technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, approximate location derived from technical data, and cookie or analytics information where this is enabled and permitted.

How we use your information

We use personal information to respond to enquiries, manage availability and bookings, provide guest information, deal with payments, keep business records, maintain website security, understand how the website is used, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

Our lawful bases may include taking steps before entering into a booking contract, performing a booking contract, complying with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in running and improving the business, and consent where we use optional marketing or analytics cookies.

Bookings and third-party platforms

We may use third-party booking services such as Outdore, Airbnb and Pitchup. If you book or enquire through one of those platforms, that platform will process your information under its own privacy policy as well as sharing relevant booking details with us.

When direct bookings become available, we may use booking, payment, email, hosting or accounting providers to help process enquiries, bookings and records. We only share information where it is needed for those purposes.

Cookies, maps and analytics

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Some cookies or similar technologies may be needed for website functions, security or embedded services. Where cookies are not strictly necessary, we will use them only where the required consent has been given.

This website includes an embedded Google Map. Google may receive technical information when the map is loaded or used, and your use of Google Maps is also subject to Google's own privacy information.

This website uses Google Analytics, but the Google Analytics tag is only loaded if you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga and _ga_* to help us understand how visitors use the site, which pages are useful, and how people find us. We use this information in an aggregated way to improve the website and do not send Google information that directly identifies you.

You can read how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Google also provides a browser add-on for opting out of Google Analytics measurement.

Who we share information with

We may share personal information with booking platforms, payment providers, website and email hosting providers, IT support, analytics providers where enabled, professional advisers, insurers, and public authorities where required by law.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we expect appropriate safeguards to be used by those providers.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as needed. Enquiry records are usually kept for up to two years unless they become part of a booking record. Booking, payment and accounting records may be kept for up to seven years to meet tax and business record requirements.

Analytics information, if enabled, is kept according to the retention settings in the analytics service. Marketing information, if we introduce mailing lists, will be kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.

Your rights

You have rights over your personal information, including the right to ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it in some circumstances, restrict or object to some uses, and withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis.

To exercise your rights, contact info@carreggamuglamping.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.

Updates

We may update this policy when the website, booking systems, analytics setup or legal requirements change. The latest version will be published on this page.
